When i's time for Wing's, it's time to head to Jim's Wings over in Fort Collins. Have dined here for years and really like this place. I swing by usually during lunch time and grab the lunch special which consists of 8 wings, fries and a drink. I always have RAM HOT and unfortunately can't tell you anything about the other sauces. The folks behind the counter are always friendly and the orders are brought out usually is good time. My wife usually has the fish & fries and she says they are very good. She is not one for much spice and is a good sport when I need a "RAM HOT" fix. I recommend Jim's Wings to everyone.

I'd actually give it a 3.5, but I always round down (due to the fact that way too many people give waaaayyyyy too high of scores. 4-stars is supposed to me amazing. 5-stars is supposed to be someplace I would drive 5 hours to try.) I've tried the hot and the terriyaki and they were both solid. So far the best wings I've had in Fort Collins which isn't saying too much.

Hands-down, my favorite buffalo wings in Colorado! Absolutely love the X-Hot wings...perfect level of burn in your mouth without making things uncomfortable. Do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of sauce to take home when you leave.

Rams hot wings. That's all I have to say

I have frequented Jim's Wings for 16 years now and they are some of the best wings I have ever had! When I dine I expect it to be busy (especially on weekends); I expect to wait, and most always I say to myself that the wings were better than I remember them being on the previous visit. I live in Denver now, and in comparison to the chain (and nonchain) wing restaurants Jim's has the best wings around!

wow, must be like my 30th order. awesome every time. i like the extra hot, extra crispy. im a chef, and i make a dam good wing, but jim's got it down !!! ranch is kinda weak, but man the sauce is outstanding. i always order "to go" place is always packed. hey, you make a great product like that and yes, your dining room will stay busy. eat those wings...NOW!

Best wings I have had in years. Only down side is the seating. It is always crowded and the tables are a bit close to one another. The wings are worth it though.

Nasty place that I would forgive if the wings were good. Again, another place touted by my bf who is a Fort Collins native. This place was supposed to have the best wings ever. Coming in a distant second was Barnacles in Hermosa Beach. So I get excited to come here. I'm not a wings fan at all, but if they are the best I am down to enjoy. The wings were bland, not even close to spicy. This was a huge let down. And everything is too fried to even get a grip on. Pass.

First of all the wings were decent, but that is where the pleasantries stopped. We went to Jim's Wings on a Saturday night for some dinner and to watch a football game. The place was packed and the service wasn't very good. There was a table of what appeared to be Jim the owner and his whole crew of late thirty year old men drunkenly talking over everyone in the restaurant; they loudly explained and laughed to each other about how cool they used to be. It was unfortunate their wives left them out of the house. We powered through the cursing and yelling and ate. Soon we were then joined by a whole family with 8 kids in tow sitting directly at the table next to us. The family let their children run wild all over the restaurant like we were at a Chuck E Cheeses. The screaming ill behaved kids gathered around the table only when the food was served. This was the part when the night turned completely sour. The family thought it would be appropriate to allow one of their children to loudly play music from one of their cell phones so loud the entire place was subjected to it. The music went playing on for when seemed like an eternity, and we barely escaped before our heads exploded. To this date, it is was one of the worst dining experience I have ever had. You would have better luck having a mature dinner at an elementary school playground.

flavors here a great, my only beef is the lack of heat on the high end of the scale. if i got to the end, i want to feel it the next day. this being said, when i do rarely fancy wings, this is definitely a place i consider.

Excellent wings. These are the real deal. The sauce tastes straight out of Buffalo. The wings are a tad small but the price and proportions make up for it. I bought a bottle of their extra hot sauce to pour over everything I will ever eat.

I was visiting from out of town and I found Jim's on Google. The wings were great. The only thing is that in my opinion the Hot are really what could be considered medium at other places. The extra hot are a little spicy but if you want a bit of heat with good flavor go with "Way Hot". I tried the "Ram Hot" which is the hottest they offer and indeed it did provide enough spicy hot to make me need to blow my nose. (Which is the measure of truly good heat for me) The downside is that while Ram Hot is spicy, it's flavor is not as good as the Way Hot, so what I found best was dipping my wing in the Ram Hot and then the Way Hot before eating. I got the spicy I like and great flavor. I will absolutely eat here again. (and the guy that served me was really nice too)

LOVE Jims wings!!! Extra hot are the best, have never eaten in the restaurant, we always order to go. Not too crazy about the fries, they need to work on that...other than that best wings place in town.

An hour and a half wait for take out wings? They ain't that good. Nuff said. I don't do one star often but.... They need to seriously warn people if it's going to be that long, not act like they're joking about the wait. Not everyone who comes in is "in the know" about how limited their fryer capacity apparently is. I gave an extra star because after having to leave quickly without dinner, my phone call to get the charge reversed was handled fairly smoothly by the cashier and manager.

We found this spot due to the local Yelpers calling it out. What a find! We were doing a quick tour of Colorado State and I knew I was on to something good, when the line was out the door and it was a 45 min wait for the wings. I was cool with that, but it did raise my expectations. They came through with some of the best wings on the planet, we went one level from the hottest and it did have some serious spark (but super flavorful). Great staff and the customers were also super friendly. We shared a table with some locals and enjoyed throwing back a couple brews while waiting on the wings. Nice modern TV's with all of the major sports in play. If you are near Colorado State, this is a can't miss spot! Amazing!

This place is awesome!!! Sometimes the wings are pretty small, but the sauces never fails. They have updated bathrooms and they're clean.

Jim's Wings does not disappoint. The wings are so flavorful. It can get really busy at times. I remember this past Super Bowl I had to wait about 1 hour and 45 minutes for my wings to be ready for pick up but it was well worth the wait. Always consistent and the service is always friendly. Good place to sit down and watch some sports games.

this is my go to place for wings. The sauces are all made in house and they by far have the best flavor in town. I always like my wings extra hot and they have never disappointed, although I think their Ram Hot sauce used to be hotter but I was only a teen when I tried it the first time and now have many years of buffalo wing eating experience under my belt so I could be wrong.

Wings were OK, waited about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The food was at least warm and the wings were good but definitely not amazing. Our waitress seemed very annoyed when we asked if we could have our salt shaker filled since it was empty. She simply swapped it with another table and then the next customers at that table had to ask for salt as well. My wife and I were not impressed by this wing joint. They seemed to be way under staffed on the front end and the mushrooms we had were about as bland as could be. The overall look of the place is dark and dingy with what looked like an extension cord running from an outlet up into the ceiling and then back out of the ceiling to power one of the TV's. If the place had an update to the look and more staff up front it could be a great place. As it stands the restaurant is anything but great.

Even back before I was a vegetarian, I had never eaten a single chicken wing. I wasn't versed in the array of sauces or the crispy skins draped over the juicy meat. Once I got together with a carnivore from Wyoming, my horizons were expanded. Without actually having been to the birthplace of the chicken wing and the buffalo sauce I can safely say that I have had my fair share. I feel that my reviews regarding wings are now a little more accurate. I have to say that Jim's wings are very well sauced. The sauce itself is really delicious. I didn't think it was as spicy as it was labeled but a huge plus was that the sauce wasn't very salty. A lot of wings I've had have been unpleasantly salty but this isn't one of them. Normally I stick to blue cheese when I eat wings but Jim's ranch is awesome! It is creamy and thick and compliments the wing sauce really well. We learned from the owner (who was very friendly, like the rest of the staff we met) that we can order his sauce! Now, the only thing that I do have to say that I didn't like about my lunch was that the chicken was overcooked and wasn't as juicy as it could have been. That being said, Jim's is a great place to get some seriously tasty wings.
(4)

The wings are very small and overcooked. They are very stingy with the sauce. After ordering 10 wings I'm still hungry and could probably eat 10 more. If you must have wings the place is alright but I wouldn't recommend it.

Perfect wings! Each night is kinda a crap shoot. You might get good sized wings, and then some bad ones. Great flavor. Good service. Usually very busy. It's great for dining in if there's a seat. A good alternative would be wing shack in Windsor.

These are by far the best wings anywhere. I moved away for several years and this place is one of the places I craved the most. The sauces are spot on and fresh. Too many places and larger corporate chains offer wings that to me taste like chemicals. Jim's uses tried and true ingredients. The chicken tastes fresh and the sauces range from BBQ to mild, medium, hot, x-hot, way hot, and ram hot (an ode to the CSU rams who are the local team). The fries are amazing and they have added salads and other healthier options. Go for the wings and you will not be disappointed. ONO food right here in FoCo!

Jim's wings is a great place to get some grub and have a beer. At 21-25$ (depending on your beer choice) you can have 25 wings and a pitcher. That deal is just hard to beat. The wings were saucy and flavorful. The only drawback is that they were a little small. Come on Jim, nobody likes small wings, but at that price, its hard to pass by.

I love Jim's but it has become almost impossible to order and pickup. I tried to call ahead today only to hear busy signals for nearly thirty minutes solid. I would rate Jim's a five if they offered delivery or a better ordering and pickup system. Unfortunately they are forcing me to look elsewhere for my wings today.

I'm from California, my family and I were visiting family and so they brought us to Jims and Wings because we liked wings.. they were honestly the best I've ever had. So I have to admit that I don't eat wings all that often, but I really like Jim's Wings. I usually call ahead 20 minutes to order takeout in order to avoid the long wait. I have tried the teriyaki, which I wasn't a big fan of, but I really like the mild (yes, I have a low heat tolerance). The order also comes with the typical carrot and celery sticks with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Yummy blue cheese dressing! I'm getting hungry just writing this review! Also, if you eat in house, they have some pretty good beer and wing specials. Downside is the wait time, upside is the food. So just know that you're probably in for a wait.

I entered Jim's with high expectations and wasn't disappointed. The wings were piping hot, slightly crispy, and with plenty of sauce. I'm not normally a spicy hot lover (when it comes to food, thank you) but I tried Hot. I got 10 perfectly spiced wings, not too hot for me, just short of breaking a sweat. Very pleased. Bleu cheese was great to dip, and free celery and carrots. They have a few beers on tap and in bottles. Great complement to the wings. I'll go back!

Every now and again on my days off, I'll be in the Campus West area. It's on these days that when it comes to the difficult task of choosing a place to eat on Elizabeth, my default is Jim's Wings. I usually get the same thing: rocky mountain oysters and fries (don't knock 'em til you've tried 'em!) and six wings. The rocky mountain oysters are really well done here, the breading is just right and they are fried perfectly. The krinkle cut fries that go with them are also pretty good. The wings are great here. I read people complaining about the size, but for what you're paying, perfectly acceptable. The sauces are delicious. I usually get the X-tra Hot or the Way Hot. I tried the Ram Hot most recently. The wings had some decent heat, but not too intense. I was sweating a little, but no regrets. I always look forward to the days I have off to eat at Jim's.

Sauces here are great and you can pick the level of spice that you can handle. The wings are on the small size and a little bit overcooked. Note: when you order ask them to not to make them too crunchy. They have made them right every time I have asked them. This place can get very busy so expect a wait time.

I had high expectations after reading some reviews. I ordered extra hot wings and I was shocked after seeing them. It was as if they just took the wings out of the freezer and poured some sauce over them. They were tough and cold. Maybe if I had eaten there instead of a take out, the wings would have been better. I will never go back and would not recommend this place to anyone. Even the generic dominos wings were much better. My sincere request to the store people is that you please try to check the wings before you pack them for the customers. I wish I could give zero but there was no option.

FOOD - 9/10 The wings here are deep-fried (without breading, of course) to a crisp. The sizes of the wings are standard. I can't talk about the portions because, really, that's up to you to decide. They have an arrange of sauce options as a place like this should. But it tastes so fresh, so crispy, and addictive. It's the selling point for a reason. I got the second spiciest sauce, so I think I'm qualified to discuss the heat. I would not say that the sauce is initially spicy, however, it lingers in your mouth and becomes increasingly intense. As a lover of spicy foods, I quite like this. SERVICE - 8/10 It's not bad, it's not great, but that's because you just go up to the counter, order, adn they bring your food out for you. No more interaction than that. AMBIANCE - 5/10 Essentially nonexistent. I recommend eating here with someone else, because when you're waiting, you won't have anything to look at, so might as well bring along someone for the conversation. PRICE - 10/10 It's great. 15 wings for just under $10. OVERALL - 8.00/10 Other wing-centric restaurants that I recommend: wing shack (they have various locations in greeley, loveland, garden city, and windsor

Easily the best wings in Fort Collins. If you like simple, delicious wings then this is your place. Every time i go to Jim's the staff is super friendly, the food is perfect, and always think to myself, "I don't come here nearly enough!"

As a purveyor and lover of spicy foods, I adore Jimbo's Wings. Place is great for having a beer and watching some sports as well. It's rarely quiet which I can appreciate.. the trick to getting the best wings that place can make (the cooks will hate me for saying this) is going when they're super busy. Very affordable, go when the lines are long!

These wings are as good as you'll get in Colorado. The sauces from Hot up to Ram are great, but I wasn't a huge fan of BBQ or Yakatori. I won't even say anything condescending like "trust me, I'm from Western NY, I know more about wings than you."

Broncos superbowl playoff game today. Was there at noon, an hour before the game, and planned to eat there, not for the game, just for lunch. Was told we'd have to wait an hour 40 minutes to get any food! They had a stack of call-in/pick up orders. I can certainly appreciate that they want to sell food, but what the heck, there's no priority to people that want to eat at their restaraunt? They were essentially empty at noon... wonder if it stayed that way. Really irritated!

I've been eating at Jim's Wings since I was a poor college student. Wings Mondays were a great deal and, as always, tasty as ever. I moved away and haven't had the opportunity to Jim's it up until this past week. I'm not the spiciest of adventurers, so the Hot does it for me. And it does it for me again, and again, and again...seriously, these are the best wings I've ever had, and I don't usually do wings. The sauce is plentiful--flowing, even--just the right amount of tang-to-spice ratio, and a good consistency. The chicken is tasty and tender, but nothing to write home about. It's the sauce that's important. That, and the bleu cheese, because only jerks get ranch. Just not worth it without the BC. Upside: reasonably priced wings. I've seen better priced, but none better tasting. Also, they have the iced tea and lemonade right next to each other for your own variations on Arnold Palmers. The space is medium-sized, and can get packed, but that's a good sign. Downside: Can get reaaaaaally packed. Packed like a clown car. But totally worth it.

If you're looking for wings in FoCo, this is the place to go (okay, the disclaimer is it's the only place I've tried here). I always get my wings to go so I can't speak of the in-house dining experience, though it has an overall cafeteria-type feel to me. The wings are good, though not the best I've had. Orders are more or less ready when they quote me on them to pick them up. Friendly staff, though they usually only have one cashier working, so a line can build up, even if you are there to pick up a previously placed order. That would be my only real complaint. If you're looking for a good place to get wings in Ft. Collins, Jim's isn't a bad place to check out first.

The best wings ive ever had! I've been to a lot of wing restaurants, even the first wing joint in Buffalo but i still prefer Jim's. Disclaimer: i grew up in fort collins and my buddies and I would go to jims for monday night football back when the weekly wing special was .25/wing. (it is now .50). My buddy even wrote a review of this restaurant for the high school newspaper, claiming that this wing spot was the best! The fries are also amazing, a must with any basket of wings. My favorite flavor is x-hot, although sometimes i like to get a spicy bbq/x-hot blend which is also delicious. Great beer selection here. If you are looking for wings in northern colorado, this is your spot. Even living in Denver, i don't even want to try another wing spot down here if i can make the trip to Jims!

When I lived in Ft. Collins I used to meet up with some friends every week and eat at Jim's. I've eaten the original Buffalo wings at Anchor Bar in Buffalo, and I've got to say, I like Jim's better. I see some people complaining that the wings are too small. I admit I haven't been there in a long time, but I don't remember them being so tiny. And we went on 50¢ wing night so we wouldn't have cared anyway. Remember, if you've just eaten a bunch of ram hot wings and you need to use the men's room, you might want to take a napkin or something in with you, lest you experience the fire down below. Seriously, why do I never learn that lesson?

Sauces here are great and you can pick the level of spice that you can handle. The wings are on the small size and a little bit overcooked. Note: when you order ask them to not to make them too crunchy. They have made them right every time I have asked them. This place can get very busy so expect a wait time.

Amazing wings, but make sure to get here early to grab a seat for game nights or on the weekends.

I felt the wings were tasty but not very spicy. This seems like a good place to take a bunch of kids or with a group after a softball game. I

This is my favorite wing joint. Ever. I will always compare any wing I ever eat to these. I've been going here for the past 8 years.... and I've worked my way through all the sauces, and my go to is the ram hot/yakitori mix, just enough spice with a little sweet. They have the best blue cheese and ranch ever. And their dine-in special (25 wings, fries & a pitcher of beer for $23 bucks) is unbeatable. I've had them catered for my graduation party, I plan on having them catered at my wedding. They are seriously divine. I will say the wings have gotten a little small this past year, but their flavors are so amazing I can look past it. 95% of the time I am more than thrilled with my order/experience. They have a pretty great team, although I don't frequent here as much since I've moved to denver. It is difficult to get a seat on game days, etc., but much worth the wait. I should really get paid for how much I promote this place in Denver. All in all a wonderful wing joint, and a little hole-in-the wall place you must not pass up!

Get more help! You make the best wings. No argument there. But what's up with having to wait five minutes outside and not even get in the door? One person taking orders is not going to cut it and this was on a Wednesday! Weekends are impossible. Even the best wing place in all of Colorado is going to suffer if service is this bad. Please hear this plea for better service.

To quote Malcolm X "we all like chicken." With a name as horrible as "Jim's Wings" I figured this must be good to not immediately go out of business and this proved to be true. Win Z-Ro sings "goddammmmmn" I think he's referring to these hot wings. Looking forward to savaging out on more wangs in the future

I absolutely love Jim's Wings! I ate here as a college student and continue to love it even after. I don't know about all the flavors because I never get anything less than the WAY HOT or the RAM HOT. Way hot has great flavor and yummy jalapeño slices, but it's a little bit sour and salty and not super spicy. The Ram hot will kick your butt after having a few wings, a little less flavor but still delicious to me! The fries are always delicious because they are crispy and topped with the specially seasoning. If you're ever in the Fort, you gotta hit up Jim's!

Great wings. Friendly staff. Casual hang out. Good value. These are great qualities that Jim's Wings possesses. We've been here several times now. The wings are always perfectly fried. We've been going safe in that we've only ordered the medium sauce and not tried some of the more spicy ones. The medium sauce is delicious and has the perfect balance of vinegar and salt. Their fries are pretty yummy as well. We usually get our food to go, and they put the sauce on the bottom of the container instead of coating the wings in it, which we appreciate. This keeps the wings crunchy until we get home.

Atmosphere is very casual. The wings (hot) were good and reasonably priced. Overall a decent stop but wouldn't go out of my way to return.

These wings are as good as you'll get in Colorado. The sauces from Hot up to Ram are great, but I wasn't a huge fan of BBQ or Yakatori. I won't even say anything condescending like "trust me, I'm from Western NY, I know more about wings than you."

Jim's is a great wing place however its not perfect. Every time i go there a huge line develops, however you can usually make it though the line fairly quickly. However the most major worry for me there is whether or not you'll get a table. Every time I've came here I've gotten a table but its usually one of the 2 or 3 that might be open. The wings here are quite good, I've had a few of the various levels of hot sauces they have an all of them are extremely tasty. The one problem i run into with the food is the wings are kinda skimpy in terms of meat. It makes me wonder whether or not their wings are non-GMO or if they are just really small, who knows.... Sometimes there's pretty much no meat and its just crisp and bone which is a bummer. I recommend ordering in the top 3 tiers of hot: x-hot, way hot, or ram hot. The Ram hot will seriously destroy you if your not accustomed to extremely hot things. The ram hot sauce is made from scotch bonnet and Habanero peppers (from what i taste) and has really great flavor, however the heat is creeping so after 2 bites you'll feel the full effect. If i where to take a guess i would say that the X-hot is somewhere in the 15k-25k range of the Scoville scale. Ram hot is somewhere in the neighborhood of 100k-120k Scoville units its hot but if you can handle Dave's insanity you can do . If you need to clear your sinuses order ram hot. it'll get the job done. The prices are also very fair here, especially if you order a bunch for a group or take advantage of the 25 wings and beer for 20 bucks deal. The prices are slightly below what i would consider the average wing price in this city, and when you order in bulk, you can really see some savings. $30 for 50 wings? YES! Please and thank you. As you would expect in a city like Fort Collins they have a decent beer selection and even have their own beer brewed for the restaurant. The beer brewed for them is pretty good, its a brown ale that wile i feel most brown ales taste very similar, this one is a slightly lighter than most which gives it a bit of a refreshing factor accompanying the sweet brown sugar taste. Also, make sure you ration your napkins, they tend to give 2 per person + a wetnap, which is quite green however when your eating its like a strategy game, if you misplan cleaning your hands or face it could be disastrous later. Men take note: This is not a place for a first date. So to paraphrase, The sauces here are great, the prices are fair however the wing size can be skimpy and you could have a bad time if there too busy and you can't get a seat after Queueing. But overall I've generally have good experiences here and i would recommend it, although i wouldn't complain if they got a new supplier for their wings.

In town for and have been craving wings for a bit, so I came in here based on the reviews and the place did not disappoint. You can read lots of details in other reviews but here are a few points I'll add: I had their second hottest sauce, the super hot I think, and it wasn't too bad. Wish I had gotten the hottest. Some reviews said the wings are small. I would agree. However, I got 15 wings, order of fries and a pint of beer for about $17. That would run me about $10-15 more in my hometown. Really liked the casual atmosphere. Go here, you will like it!

Great wings. Pretty much everybody gets "the special" here which is 25 wings, a basket of fries and a pitcher of beer for $19.99 (a few bucks more if you want to do a pitcher of micro brew). I have been there on occassion when it is really busy and your food may get delivered to you before you are able to find a table (not good), so I might suggest going before 7pm. That way you can feel sorry for all the suckers who don't have a table because they weren't slick enough to read this informative review. Pro tip: Manage your napkins carefully as there is no dispenser on the table and you don't want to have to go ask for more when your face is covered in wing sauce and ranch, ya heard?

You won't find better wings anywhere else. Although they are known for their wings, they also have amazing fries! Great spot to hangout and eat with friends and family.

I am pretty sure I got food poisoning from here. My wings were oddly hot on one side and stone cold on the other. I only ate the top half of them. I was pissed but they were way too busy to ask for a refund. The next day I was sicker than a dog and ended up not going to work because I couldn't get away from the bathroom or a trash can for long enough to drive to work. Their food was the only thing I ate that day because I was excited to go. The sauce they were in was decent I guess. but that part is meaningless really. Go here if you don't want to go to work the following day.

If you like to have your face kicked in with a flavor boot, this place is for you. X-hot is the best sauce. If you wimp out and get BBQ or teriyaki, Jim will give you a personal wedgie.

Jim's Wings sets the standard in Hot Wings! The variety of flavors ensures that there will be something for every taste. The atmosphere is everything you would expect out of your local hot wing joint, there are numerous big screens on the walls with your favorite sports game on them. And there are enough tables for big groups. Daily specials and $0.50 wing Mondays are awesome deals, you can't go wrong any day you come here! My favorite is Way Hot - a sauce with sliced jalapenos added in for more spice and a fantastic flavor. It complements the perfectly cooked wings every time. I don't know if Jim's makes their own ranch or if they purchase it from a vendor but it is the perfect side kick to these little pieces of gold! If you feel like dabbling in the non-poultry menu items, you sure won't be disappointed! The fries and jalapeno poppers are on the top of my list. There is a moderate selection of draft beers and wine if you so desire. Just a fair warning - this place isn't exactly the best kept secret in Fort Collins. If you're planning on ordering for the big game do so well in advance. They will quote you a time to pick up and I've found that usually 5-10 minutes longer is appropriate. If you're a true wing connoisseur and you're looking for the best wings in Fort Collins, there's only one place to go - Jim's!

This will probably be the best place in NoCo to get wings. The reason they're so good (and popular!) is that their sauce is very close to the original Frank's Wing Sauce where wings were invented in Buffalo, NY. Their X-tra Hot is just enough and for the daring the Ram Hot is a favorite. This place sits in a business suite complex across the street from CSU's McGraw Athletic Center. The parking can be challenging on busy days and this place fills up quick so a call-in order (15-20 min.) may save you time and/or frustration. Are these the best wings ever? Close.

Best wings in Fort Collins (not best I've ever had, but very good....I'm from NY, the wing state) Been there many many times and the one common denominator? - the fried zucchini. Soooo freakin good. I've tried the medium, hot and the BBQ wings. All the sauces are all very good - BBQ is the best. The wings are a bit small. Atmosphere is college dive-y (but like, who cares?) Good beers on tap. Staff is quick, courteous, friendly. They have a Tuesday night specials on the wings, go try them.

If you are going to do wings in a college town, they had better be really good or really cheap. These are GREAT wings at a moderate price. That is pretty close to perfection. A bunch of TV's for sports, 90 Schilling beer on tap. This place is good. The only downside is it looks like a wing place. Sauces tend to be on the mild side so order one level up from what you are used to. Side note, I just noticed a review for Jim's where the reviewer said "I'm not a wings fan at all" Huh???? Why would you review a wings place? And judge the wings?

It was wet and glossy, teasing both my eye and mouth for a bite. Tantalizing, luscious, and plump, it created an insatiable craving before bringing it to my lips for a taste. Smelling the tangy sweetness, I couldn't resist. Its sticky flesh seeped juices which dripped down my fingers as I began to pinch and roll down to the joint, separating the bone. Succulent pieces of meat protruded for the eating. "I like it hot" I said, my tongue still tingling from the heat. There is nothing more carnal than eating with my hands, fingers and mouth a messy, dirty pleasure. A testosterone fueled act, finger sucking, lip licking, I am driven as my tongue thrusts around the bone. I carelessly bite the meat away, feeling flush from the torridness. This is eating wings. Fort Collins has only a few places that serve wings. Jim's Wings, owned by Jim Dunn, is on Campus-West on Elizabeth and has been serving it up hot and spicy since 1989. This bachelor pad-like hangout satisfies those primal urges that stir within us with flat screen TV's showing sports games from football to bloody MMA fights (my favorite), a good selection of local beer and sauces with varying levels of spiciness to make anyone breath heavier. Sauces to titillate or torture your taste buds range from mild to Ram Hot, even teriyaki and BBQ, for those who prefer a more predictable, horizontal, lights-off kind of flavor. We got the Everyday Special with 25 wings, fries and a pitcher ($19.25), splitting the sauces - half hot and half teriyaki. Our wings were partnered with both ranch and blue cheese dressing to bring it down a notch before it got too hot to handle. The teriyaki was in fact, quite boring. And really, there's nothing worse than boring...wings. The flavor was monotonous, routine, mild and sweet, much like the girl next door or a marriage that's lost its spark. They were nothing exciting as I went through the motions between drums and flats. The hot wings were not that hot at all, but they did have a flirtatious flavor. We could have handled something more extreme and painful, something more stern, something that would have invoked goose bumps and beads of sweat on our faces, like Way Hot or Ram Hot. However, the tender, gentle meat was delicious. For those who aren't in the mood for a sloppy, indecent session, there are options for more civilized fare - fried things, side things, buffalo things, green things, things with buns, and kid's things. But, what's the excitement in that? If you're going to get down and dirty, you might as well go all the way. After all was said and done, a ravished, empty pile of bones displayed on the table was the only evidence left of the disheveled event. Leftover juices still dotting my mouth and taste lingering on my lips, desires satisfied, I pulled myself together from the touch-less body invasion.

A staple of Fort Collins for many years! This place does one thing really really well -- provide GREAT wings that are meaty and have great sauce. There are about 6 grades of hotness, plus the frou-frou teriyaki, BBQ sauce, etc. My biggest knock on the place -- no options on the menu that are not fried. I'm trying to eat healthier, so unfortunately I don't visit Jim's as often as I used to. My tip: After enjoying your meal, get a 1 liter bottle of sauce, which costs $7 -- they can put any of their sauces in a bottle for you, even mixing some if you like (e.g, 50% hot, 50% extra hot). Then you can grill some chicken breasts at home and smother it with Jim's wings goodness.

Good wings and its nice to not be a part of a lame chain wing place. It's one of those places just off of the path. I'm usually not a fan of wings, but Jim's is palatable. It's a good place to go once and a while.

Another reason I love college towns. Non-chain wing joints! The reason that I love Jim's wings is the sauce. A wide variety of spice, hot, with that awesome taste of vinegar. OH YEAH! I was never a real fan of dining in here, because it was really loud and the place was a bit rough around the edges, but when it comes to take-out, Jim's rules.

Wings were great, place is a family friendly atmosphere. Pretty cool if you ask me. Solid specials, consistently good product, very doable Ram Hot. Come here whenever I can when up North.

If you like to have your face kicked in with a flavor boot, this place is for you. X-hot is the best sauce. If you wimp out and get BBQ or teriyaki, Jim will give you a personal wedgie.

These are the best wings I have ever had. The staff always remembers me and the service is fantastic. I use to go fairly often when I was a student, now I make sure I go every time I'm back in Fort Collins. Great taste, great value, excellent experience. I.LOVE.JIMS

wow, must be like my 30th order. awesome every time. i like the extra hot, extra crispy. im a chef, and i make a dam good wing, but jim's got it down !!! ranch is kinda weak, but man the sauce is outstanding. i always order "to go" place is always packed. hey, you make a great product like that and yes, your dining room will stay busy. eat those wings...NOW!

Pass.

Andreas H.

Amazing!
(5)Nathaniel P.

(5)John G.
this is my go to place for wings.
(5)Jamie C.
(2)Rob B.
Wings are so good but they're really small. Overall... recommended.
(4)Todd M.
This place is horrible. The wings are so small it looks like they came off a pigeon. Never again. Stay away!

(4)George S.
The wings are very small and overcooked. They are very stingy with the sauce. After ordering 10 wings I'm still hungry and could probably eat 10 more. If you must have wings the place is alright but I wouldn't recommend it.
(2)Ben P.
Perfect wings! Each night is kinda a crap shoot. You might get good sized wings, and then some bad ones. Great flavor. Good service. Usually very busy. It's great for dining in if there's a seat. A good alternative would be wing shack in Windsor.
(4)Ryan H.

I have been eating here on the regular since I moved here a year ago. They are friendly and consistent. The wings taste amazing and every flavor is delicious. They have a great pitcher and wing special that will leave you full for most of the day. Maybe the wings in town :D
(4)Rosanna K.
This is always our first stop in FoCo when we swing through town. We lived there for a few years, and this was always a go to spot for us. Inexpensive, delicious hot wings, New Belgium beer, and my husband's favorite onion rings in the world. Usually I can't eat more than a few wings, but at Jim's I can plow through half of the basket that comes with the special (25 wings), and not care that I have delicious hot sauce all over my face and under my fingernails!!!
(5)Gordon W.
(3)Debra C.
I'm from California, my family and I were visiting family and so they brought us to Jims and Wings because we liked wings.. they were honestly the best I've ever had. I'm a boneless fan but I had it with bones and I had no problem eating it with bones. I had an overall great time there, and no complains. I'll be sure to come and eat there again! much love from, San Diego, CA
(5)Amanda I.
(5)Kevin L.
(5)Jimmy H.
(5)Justin L.
So good im from seattle ,wa and we have no good wing joints there so my brother took me here and loved it i had the hottest ones and they we're perfectly cooked and haf amazing heat and flavor ive been to tons of wing places in my life jims wings hit my top 3
(5)Chris R.
The wings are smaller but absolutely delicious! The sauces are also fantastic. We've been coming here every few months for the past 4 years and have had a consistently great experience every time.
(4)Denise K.
Well they were decent wings but we asked for extra sauce and we got our wings in a freaking POOL of sauce and 4 napkins.. Really! We may or may not be back to give it a 2nd try..

(4)Jamie C.

(4)Sarah A.
Sauces here are great and you can pick the level of spice that you can handle. The wings are on the small size and a little bit overcooked. Note: when you order ask them to not to make them too crunchy. They have made them right every time I have asked them. This place can get very busy so expect a wait time.
(3)John G.
this is my go to place for wings.
(5)Ramz S.
(1)Sanae G.
I felt the wings were tasty but not very spicy. This seems like a good place to take a bunch of kids or with a group after a softball game. I

(4)Diane W.
Amazing wings, but make sure to get here early to grab a seat for game nights or on the weekends.
(5)Jonathan S.
Easily the best wings in Fort Collins. If you like simple, delicious wings then this is your place. Every time i go to Jim's the staff is super friendly, the food is perfect, and always think to myself, "I don't come here nearly enough!"
(5)Colin R.
(5)Curt W.
Atmosphere is very casual. The wings (hot) were good and reasonably priced. Overall a decent stop but wouldn't go out of my way to return.
(3)Matt A.
These wings are as good as you'll get in Colorado. The sauces from Hot up to Ram are great, but I wasn't a huge fan of BBQ or Yakatori. I won't even say anything condescending like "trust me, I'm from Western NY, I know more about wings than you."
(5)Mark R.
(2)Cassi W.
Always SO yummy and perfect! the sauces are the best; RAM hot is my fav and the staff is great! chill atmosphere and excellent wings. This is THE GO-TO for chicken wings in town!
(5)Amanda B.

(3)Eric H.
(5)Elle G.
The wings and fries were really good! I thought the Blue cheese dressing was good but they barely gave you any. The place is very old and outdated. Not very comfortable.
(4)Brooke B.
These are the best wings I have ever had. The staff always remembers me and the service is fantastic. I use to go fairly often when I was a student, now I make sure I go every time I'm back in Fort Collins. Great taste, great value, excellent experience. I.LOVE.JIMS
(5)Rob B.
Wings are so good but they're really small. Overall... recommended.

This place is horrible. The wings are so small it looks like they came off a pigeon. Never again. Stay away!

(4)Steve M.

(5)Susanne D.
(3)Nate M.
Only the best place in the world for wings!!! If your close you have to come here! you can also buy the wing sauce by the jar.
(5)Sean R.
(4)Torry H.
(4)Anya E.

Fantastic wings ! Always make a point to stop here when I am back in FC. I like the hot for my normal order, prices are very reasonable, wings vary in size a little. Great service as well.
(5)Steve J.
(5)Byron C.
(4)Powell P.
You won't find better wings anywhere else. Although they are known for their wings, they also have amazing fries! Great spot to hangout and eat with friends and family.
(5)Nick D.
(1)Mark R.
(2)Cassi W.
Always SO yummy and perfect! the sauces are the best; RAM hot is my fav and the staff is great! chill atmosphere and excellent wings. This is THE GO-TO for chicken wings in town!
(5)Caleb A.
Wings were great, place is a family friendly atmosphere. Pretty cool if you ask me. Solid specials, consistently good product, very doable Ram Hot. Come here whenever I can when up North.
(4)Danny W.
If you like to have your face kicked in with a flavor boot, this place is for you. X-hot is the best sauce. If you wimp out and get BBQ or teriyaki, Jim will give you a personal wedgie.
(5)Mitch M.
(5)Dan F.
Close.
(4)Marcia K.
(4)Craig L.
(4)Annie Z.
Best wings ever! I love their sauce! I go here every time that I can, I LOVE IT!
(5)Clay M.
Best wings I have ever had. I would recommend this place to anyone who can appreciate a great wing. I stand behind this place.
(5)Kristin M.
(3)Bruce E.
Extra crispy is the bomb! You should get extra hot wings or hotter.
(4)Jessie J.
Best wings in town. Nice and crispy with pretty good sauces. Jim's is everything BBW wishes it could be.
(5)Bill E.
(4)Aaron H.
Good wings and its nice to not be a part of a lame chain wing place. It's one of those places just off of the path. I'm usually not a fan of wings, but Jim's is palatable. It's a good place to go once and a while.
(3)Andreas H.
(4)Steve M.
(4)Susanne D.
(3)Nate M.
Only the best place in the world for wings!!! If your close you have to come here! you can also buy the wing sauce by the jar.
(5)Sean R.
(4)Torry H.
(4)Anya E.
(4)Jeremiah G.
(4)Dave M.

(5)Eric H.

I.LOVE.JIMS
(5)Dug T.
wow, must be like my 30th order. awesome every time. i like the extra hot, extra crispy. im a chef, and i make a dam good wing, but jim's got it down !!! ranch is kinda weak, but man the sauce is outstanding. i always order "to go" place is always packed. hey, you make a great product like that and yes, your dining room will stay busy. eat those wings...NOW!
(4)Dave W.
Best wings I have had in years. Only down side is the seating. It is always crowded and the tables are a bit close to one another. The wings are worth it though.
(4)Stephanie K.
Pass.

(4)Scott K.
(3)Mama T.
Hands-down, my favorite buffalo wings in Colorado! Absolutely love the X-Hot wings...perfect level of burn in your mouth without making things uncomfortable. Do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of sauce to take home when you leave.
(5)Kevin Q.
